QUALITY DESIGNS
In our world of flat-pack fiberboard furniture and disposable everything, a product intended to last generations is a novelty. We pride ourselves on designing products for your home that are not only attractive and functional but will be around for your kids and their kids as well.
QUALITY MATERIALS
Our products are primarily built of locally sourced hardwood. Wood harvested from a customer’s property is the ultimate way to create an heirloom! Sometimes plywood is a necessity though, it can be used to reduce cost or increase strength. We sparingly use only the highest-grade Baltic Birch plywood.
QUALITY FINISHES
A properly applied finish which is appropriate to the function of the piece will greatly extend its life and enhance its beauty. We use three primary finishes on our products which are safe, easy to maintain, and repair if necessary. Mineral oil + beeswax, water-based enamel paint, and marine varnish.
Fine things in wood are important, not only aesthetically, as oddities or rarities, but because we are becoming aware of the fact that much of our life is spent buying and discarding, and buying again, things that are not good. Some of us long to have at least something, somewhere, which will give us harmony and a sense of durability—I won’t say permanence, but durability—things that, through the years, become more and more beautiful, things we can leave to our children.
